Services
I provide individual psychotherapy to adults (18+ years old). I offer in-person sessions as well as telehealth sessions. We can discuss which meeting format is best for your therapy. Although I am open to inviting significant others or family members to attend occasional sessions if you would like, I do not provide couples therapy or family therapy at this time.
Fees
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to briefly discuss what type of support you're looking for and how I might be of help. The phone consultation also gives us the chance to talk and get a sense of whether I'm a good fit for your needs.
My typical fee is $150/session. However, I also see a limited number of clients on a sliding-scale basis (a.k.a. reduced-fee). We will discuss what fee works for you during our initial consultation. Fees are to be paid at the end of each session. I accept cash and credit cards.
Insurance
I currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX), and I am happy to provide you with the information you would need to submit claims independently (i.e. Superbills).
Please confirm your out of pocket costs with your insurance company before scheduling a session. I cannot guarantee insurance reimbursement for your sessions. Depending on your plan, you may require Prior Authorization or have limits on how many sessions will be reimbursed. Additionally, BCBS sometimes outsources behavioral health benefits to other companies (e.g. Magellan) and I am not in-network with those companies.
Appointment Changes, Cancellations, & No Shows
Any session changes (i.e. cancellations or rescheduling) must be made at least 24 hours before the appointment time. Sessions cancelled with more than 24 hours notice will not be charged a fee and can be rescheduled as our schedules allow.
Any session cancelled with less than 24 hours notice is considered a "late cancellation," unless we reschedule that session for the same day. Any session missed without notice is considered a "no show." Both late cancellations and no shows will be charged a fee regardless of the reason, except in the case of extreme emergency. Extreme emergencies refer to natural disasters or when life or limb is at stake. The late cancellation/no show fee is 75% of your regular fee for private pay clients or $75 for clients using BCBSTX benefits.
